The modern vintage feel of the day was intoxicating with surprises about both Holly and Chris at every turn. A history of love surrounded this fun couple and from watching the sheer joy on Holly’s face to the Texas style footwork of Chris at the reception, the day was uncontained fun. I don’t believe we have ever seen a bride that smiled so much with pure joy in her heart. While Holly and the girls spent their entire day preparing, the guys started their day by scrambling on the golf course trying hard not to put balls through glass houses. Fifteen minutes of prep and Chris was ready with his quiet anticipation. Chris’s quiet nature held a hidden charm with his gift to Holly with a pair of vintage Old Gringo boots--Texas style elegance! Also with elegance, and recently celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary, Holly’s grandparents took to the dance floor celebrating right along with Holly & Chris.
From the mist of hair spray to the gentle separation of fresh rose petals, First Baptist Woodway was full of beautiful ladies delighted to be a part of Holly’s day. With an expert eye and precision hands, watching Sandra Shapiro apply makeup was like seeing an artist paint a canvas.
Jordan Browning of Ever After was there to mend any over sights and to shape the day into the promised beauty of Holly’s dream. She is truly a fun coordinator that not only guides everyone, but, puts loving attention to all details. Jordan was never far, as she seemed to be in three places at once and around every corner.
Ridgewood Country Club set the scene for a spectacular reception. The talent of Kevin Ballew with Advanced Audio Productions enticed all ages to the dance floor. Kevin had the young and “young at heart” groovin’ to the beat.
Buzzing all around us was Kathryn Krueger and her crew capturing the day with some amazing shots. Looking forward to seeing the photos, Kathryn!
A day full of talent and beauty ended at the candy bar for one last burst of energy and excitement for the fanfare departure of Chris and Holly.
A Heavenly Day to be sure… CONGRATULATIONS HOLLY & CHRIS !!
Here's a short snip that set the tone for moving around the dance floor. Watch Holly’s face during their first dance as this is truly her character…
